About Nicole Reiman, the Instructor for our Fermentation Workshop!
Nicole's love for fermentation started with a homebrew kit and a desire to know where her food comes from. After spending nearly a decade as a professional brewer, she has pivoted her attention from fermented beverages to the magical world of lacto fermented foods. An educator at heart, her goal is to make fermentation accessible to all in hopes that every kitchen will be host to bubbling jars of microbes.
Thanks to a background in manufacturing, Nicole's approach to teaching begins with safety and processes, incorporating sustainability, gardening and local sourcing, and a strong emphasis on the student's sensory experience. Her inner artist and home chef always come out to play, leading with curiosity to find creative ways to incorporate fermented foods into our daily lives.
